About me
I began my career as a dancer and then quickly moved to inclusive dance. I then trained as a Dance Movement Psychotherapist wanting to expand my knowledge of using the body to support the healing of the mind, and vice versa. I am also a qualified Yoga Teacher, Tai Chi for wellbeing instructor, am a facilitator for The Mind Body Approach and a Somatic Movement Practitioner. I combine all of my training and life experience to provide a safe space in which clients and participants can be. To talk, move, explore, connect and feel heard. There is no right or wrong way of accessing my sessions and it is really important to me that my clients feel comfortable and safe. I encourage honesty and transparency.
About my Psychotherapy Practice
‘The body remembers what the mind forgets’
I am fully registered, insured and have my own private practice, working with both groups and 1:1 clients, in a range of settings. I am currently working mostly with marginalised communities / individuals, however I have experience working with many different people from all walks of life. I believe it to be very important that everyone has a chance to tell their story and have a voice.
Some of my clients include people living with:
Physical disability
Psychological disorder
Learning disability
Anxiety
Depression
Eating disorders
Trauma
Postpartum difficulties
Or anyone who feels as though talking / moving / being with someone would help them in their everyday life. I work with children, adults and the elderly.
I do not judge and will make the time to consult with anyone who reaches out. I am an advocate and supporter of all people. If I do not feel as though I can assist you, I will do my best to signpost you to other support.
